Roast process

Light to Medium – air roast
Dark – air roast
Charge at 410F, and maintain 9 level heat and 8 degree air flow, for this bean , resulted in a 8-9 mins roast for Medium and 10-11 mins roast for Dark.
the roast time in the short side, may result in flat and sharp taste coffee
Medium – electric pan roast
Medium to Dark – electric pan roast
Temperature can not consistently increase in 30F per minute rate when roast temperature over 300F cause a long roasting cycle between brown stage and first crack, and the development stage is also impacted and took too long, may result in crisp and smoky and earthy in cupping

Look: mid brown to dark brown

Aroma: strong chocolate , vanilla , cedar
Taste: still can taste the inner layer skin, inner layer fruity sweet, chocolate, earthy

AR Dark
1-6.49/8 = 18.87%
Look: shinny with occasional oil spots in unique dark brown
Aroma: dark chocolate, burnt, vanilla,, smoky, spicy
Taste: Dark chocolate, smoky, bitter, earthy, no more inner layer skin and fruity sweet.

EPR Medium

1-6.78/8 = 15.25%
Look: mid brown with 15% mid to light brown, dry
Aroma: buttery, chocolate, sweet, vanilla
Taste: Chocolate, inner layer fruity has been dried but still be able to taste it. earthy , smoky, spice but not much uncomfortable bitter.

EPR M to D

1- 6.63/8 = 17.13%
Look: Evenly mid brown, dry over all but shiner than medium roast
Aroma: chocolate, buttery, vanilla , cedar
Taste: not much different from medium roast. a little bit more bitter and spice towards the end
